operation christmas child
Collection Day: Sunday, November 8
Participating in Operation Christmas Child is the perfect way to participate in an international mission project. These shoeboxes go all over the world to children and their families who are living in areas where it is difficult to hear about the Gospel. These boxes are filled with small toys, hygiene items, clothing, school supplies, the Gospel, and other items. If you would like to participate in this mission project, there are multiple ways you and your family can do so:
1. Pack a shoebox! There are shoeboxes available for anyone to take home in our church lobby. If you’re unable to pick up shoeboxes on Sunday, let our church office know and you can pick them up doing the week.
2. Build a shoebox online! You can do this right now from your phone and the comfort of your home. The cost to pack an online box is $30 (this includes shipping). You can visit the following website (
https://build-a-shoebox.samaritanspurse.org/.../4829d727...) to pack a shoebox online. These online boxes go to areas where the Gospel cannot be shared by missionaries and are packed specifically for these hard-to-reach areas.
3. Donate! You can make a donation of any amount to our church by making your check payable to Zion Hill Baptist Church and designating your check to Operation Christmas Child. If you’re giving cash, please mark your envelope with Operation Christmas Child. You may also give online using our church website, www.zionhillbuford.org.
4. Pray! Please pray for Operation Christmas Child. Pray for the Samaritan’s Purse workers and missionaries, those delivering these gifts, for these boxes to be a blessing to the children who receive these gifts and their families.
We hope you will join us in participating in this international mission project. Remember, IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS!
